The HABA First Orchard game is part of the My Very First Games series, developed by educators to get children as young as two to play cooperative board games.

Easy set-up and simple rules make for immediate fun! Can you pick all the apples, plums, and pears before the raven arrives? This colorful and fun game introduces children to rolling the dice and then taking an action, as well as basic strategy. The perfect toddler game, no reading is required to start playing right away. It develops social skills and reinforces developmental skills such as color recognition, sorting and categorizing, and counting. The game also promotes basic science concepts, such as which trees bear fruit, seasons, and the food cycle.

This cooperative board game allows players to work together as a team to roll the dice and pick the matching fruit from the orchard before the raven makes it down the path to steal it all.

The durable wooden game components include 16 large wooden fruit pieces, a chunky colored die, a wooden raven, 5 path cards, and 4 trees. These sustainably-sourced German-made wooden pieces are perfect for small children’s hands.
